Rick has proudly served as President of the Holbrook Chamber since March of 2000. During his
administration, he has successfully guided the chamber into one of the leading local business
community organizations on Long Island. In only his second year as President, the chamber grew
form 47 members to over 120. Today the chamber recognizes close to 200 members and growing. He
has played a large role within the chamber in developing many of the ideas to improve and
revitalize the “downtown” business district. Currently, he is still involved along with his
multi-talented and hardworking Board of Directors in securing government funds and coordinating
numerous infrastructure repairs throughout the town.
During his term of office, several of the chamber cultural events such as the Annual Fair, which has grown into one of the most anticipated and successful fundraisers within the Holbrook area every summer. His love and passion for the community he grew up in is what inspires him most. Born in Mineola, N.Y., Rick moved to Holbrook in 1975 with his parents Nick & Diane along with his younger sister Jen. He attended Merrimac, Seneca (last ninth grade class to graduate Seneca, & played on their undefeated football team) and Sachem High School. Rick also attended Suffolk Community College from 1983-1985. Professionally, he has only worked in two places his whole life both right here in Holbrook. He was an Assistant Manager of Suburban Sports (1981-1986) formerly in the Sun-Vet Mall and now in his current business Friendly Drugs on Main Street for over 21 years. Rick now lives in Port Jefferson Station with his wife, the former Louann Alese of Farmingville. As the longest serving President in the 50 year plus history of the chamber Rick, looks forward to continuing to work with the chamber in developing Holbrook into truly one of the finest places to live, work and shop. Having served as Vice President since 1999, Kevin and the Revitalization Committee have been
instrumental in working with all levels of government as well as commercial property owners
and civic groups to bring about future improvements in our community.

Fred is the owner of The Coste Agency, Inc., an independent insurance agency located in Holbrook.
Established in 1948 by Fred’s parents, he assumed management and ownership in 1984. He has served
as President of the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Suffolk County; President of the
Independent Insurance Agents Association of New York and State National Director of the Independent
Insurance Agents and Brokers of America.
In 1993, he and his wife, Judith, formed Second Wind Aviation Safety Foundation, Inc. to enhance the Sachem High School Aviation Program. The program was in operation until June, 2006 in the Sachem School District. In 2003, Fred formed November Romeo, LLC an aircraft hangar management/rental company based at L.I. MacArthur Airport. Fred is a founding member of the Sachem School Business Alliance and has served in leadership positions in many local religious and civic organizations. Bea has been a resident of Holbrook for 39 years. She has been an active member of
the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce since 1989 and enjoys working with fellow chamber
members and all the activities. She is the co-publisher of Our Place Newspapers in
both Holbrook, Ronkonkoma and Centereach. Her husband, Bob, helps her with the newspapers
and chamber events. She has two children, Michelle and Ronnie, and two grandchildren, Ariana and Rachel.

Fern and her husband George, own and operate Spies Travel Agency for over 25 years. Fern and
George are former presidents of the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce. Fern has been on the on the
Board of the Director since the early 90’s and still holds that position. Her travel agency is
located at 1022 Main Street, Holbrook, N. Y. 11741.

Founder and owner of The Carpet Cleaning Guy since 2001, services include: Carpet, Upholstery,
Air Duct, Tile and Grout, Window, and VCT Tile Cleaning. He moved to Holbrook in 1999 with his
wife, Debi and since then has had three children, Kenny, Sydney, and Lexi. He has been a member of the Holbrook
Chamber of Commerce since January of 2002. In 2004 join the Board of Directors and continues to
work on various committees and is our current Membership Committee Chairperson.

With over 30 years of auto glass replacement experience, Mike is currently President of
The Council for Auto Glass Safety & Integrity. He is also currently on the Board of Directors
of the Long Island Glass Association. Mike served three years as Treasurer of the Holbrook
Chamber of Commerce and has been a member of the Board of Directors for 9 years, while also
being a past member of the Carnival committee for 5 years. He is currently a member of the
Beautification, Annual Dinner/Dance and Scholarship committees.
