Since 2000, the Chamber has met numerous times with local public officials to secure municipal funding for a variety of capital projects. Due to cost considerations and the size and scope of these projects, it can take years before completion.

The Chamber has and will continue to work with all levels of government as well as commercial property owners to improve the infrastructure and appearance of our community.

Over the past several years, the Holbrook Chamber of Commerce has been working with our County Legislators William Lindsay and Brian Foley to improve the overall appearance of the northern entrance to our community. The area along the western side of County Route 19, just south of the expressway, had no sidewalks, was overgrown and chronically littered. After all this time, we look forward to fully completing our “North Gateway” project.

	During the summer, Suffolk County Department of Public Works installed sidewalks from Smith Avenue to Main Street. This provides a safe pedestrian path for our residents.
	The Chamber has retained the services of T. Skee Landscaping to install and maintain our landscaping at this and other sites throughout the community.
	A new “Welcome To Holbrook” sign* will be installed on a raised landscaped berm behind a decorative brick wall constructed by Excedo Stone.
